Who we are

What you give us

The text of a used-car listing, optional seller messages and optional vehicle details that you type in. We ask you not to include names, phone numbers, email addresses, home addresses, payment or bank details, passwords, identity documents, one-time codes, or a VIN or rego number.

Before the text leaves your browser, we automatically try to remove common personal details and show you the result. Automated removal is imperfect, so please check it.

How it is processed

When live analysis is switched on, the reviewed text is sent to an external AI provider (currently Anthropic) to produce the report. That provider processes it under its own terms and may process it outside Australia. We do not claim your text stays in Australia.

We do not keep the listing text or seller messages after the analysis. We do not write them to our logs.

If you upload screenshots, your browser first shrinks them and removes hidden photo data such as location. They are then sent to our AI provider only to read the text, which is shown back to you to check before anything is analysed. Screenshots are not stored or logged. We never open links to listings.

For paid reports, we run a live web search (through Anthropic's web search service) for similar cars currently advertised. That search uses only the car's year, make/model, kilometres and state as stated in the report. Your listing text and messages are not used.

What we keep and for how long

• The generated report, which can include short quotes from the text you supplied, is kept for 24 hours if you don't buy it, or 7 days if you do, and then deleted automatically. You can delete it sooner with the “Delete report” button.
• A random access key is stored in a cookie on your browser so that only you can open your report. We keep only a scrambled (hashed) form of that key.
• If you pay, we keep a payment record (Stripe session reference, product, amount, status, time) for accounting. It does not include the listing text or the report.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe on its hosted checkout page. We do not see or store your card details.

What we do not do

No accounts, no marketing emails or SMS, no advertising trackers, and no analytics unless this notice is updated to say so.
