The service
ListingGuard AU, operated by ListingGuard, reviews the text of a used-car listing and any seller messages you provide, and produces a report of observable warning signs, missing information and suggested checks.
What the report is and is not
- It is based only on the text you supply. It may miss things, and it can be wrong.
- It does not prove that a seller is honest or dishonest, and finding no warning signs does not mean a car or seller is safe.
- It is not a mechanical inspection, vehicle history report, valuation, or legal or financial advice.
- ListingGuard AU is not connected to PPSR, NEVDIS, police, insurance, state registration, finance, write-off, stolen-vehicle or valuation databases.
Please complete the official checks and an independent inspection before paying for a vehicle.
Your responsibilities
Only submit text you are entitled to share. Do not submit other people's personal information beyond what is needed. Do not use the service for unlawful purposes or to harass anyone.
Payments
Full reports are one-off purchases at the price shown before checkout. Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If a report you paid for was not provided or has a problem, contact [email protected] and we will work with you to fix it, which may include a refund.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, and without limiting any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law, we are not responsible for decisions you make about buying a vehicle. [Liability wording to be settled with a legal adviser.]
